A couple of us attended the Muscatine boat and car show.

One look at just part of the group who attended the cookout at Dave
and Colette's. |

June '09. 16 in attendance, if we count Dave and Colette's Grandson
as one that is.

This event was at Texas Roadhouse, sadly, the flash on my digital
camera died, so the photo quality is poor.

We also got to meet Jim and Pegg, who are the new owners of Chuck
Thompson's Spitfire.

Our Steak and Shake with 17 in attendance. I drove 500 miles
from an event I had attended to get to this one.

This was also the first event where I used my new camera, wow, it sure
does nice work!

A really nice group of 20 joined with us for the return to P.K. Dugans
in Silvis.

We had 19 for our first ever dinner at Moline's Brown Bottle.
Some new members were there. |
We talked about the car show and cookout coming up on
September as well as many other things. A preview copy of the
Autofest 2009 booklet was passed around as well. |

We had a nice turn out for the Flicks show. Since I had driven
in the rain the day before, I stopped to wash my car and didn't get the
chance to park with everybody else.
We also had a nice turn out for the Silvis Moonlight
Parade event too. I spotted several British cars there at the car
show, but again this time, we were not parked together

One of the main reasons I went was to see the 1952 MG of new members Doug
and Carol. It's actually an MG replica, but it's electric powered.

A bunch of us got together and headed to Geneseo on a magnificent
day.....

for their excellent Planes, Trains and Automobile event.

Out of around 250 cars of all kinds, we all added 14 British cars of
all types.

A perfect day to look at cars, or just enjoy a cool shady spot.

Carl accepting the First place British car award for their Triumph
TR4.

Carl helped Ed out by happily driving Ed's Cushman scooter back home.
Back when Carl and Carol first met, Carl had one just
like it and would ride it out to see Carol. |

Ed and Deb graciously invited all 23 of us back to their home.
The street in front of their home sure looked nice, with all of our cars
parked out there.

We all enjoyed a nice chat and a tasty dinner.
Thanks for the hospitality, Deb and Ed!

A couple of us returned to this event, held at a Bettendorf
church. Roger Mall was also there with his Austin Healey
replica. It was parked in another area.
The church holds it as a benefit for military
families. Last year, they collected something around $7,000. A
nice event and a good cause.

We had a very nice turn out for this one, our first club visit to
Famous Dave's in Davenport with 19 in attendance.
Barb and Bob drove in from Iowa City. Bonnie and
Keith drove in from north of Waterloo, Iowa!
Thanks to all for coming, your attendance certainly makes planning these
dinners rewarding.
